Research Interests

• Riemannian optimization
• Nonsmooth problem on manifold
• sparse cannonical correlation analysis
• sparse representation classification

My main research achievements to date have been associated with gaining a broader understanding into the manifold constrained problems, through Riemannian optimization techniques. The existing Riemannian optimization methods mainly focus on solving smooth problems on Riemannian manifolds. My primary research to date has focused on using Riemannian optimization techniques to gain a better understanding of nonsmooth problems on Riemannian manifolds.
